Charles Kellett (B Bus, Cert REM, AAPI)
Principal consultant
Charles Kellett is the founding Director and a Principal Consultant at Acumen Corporate Property.
Charles has a distinguished career in commercial property that spans over 30 years. He has a broad base of experience that has traversed Property Valuation, Commercial Property Agency as well as the listed A-REIT sector (Australian Real Estate Investment Trust). The bulk of Charles’s professional time has been devoted to providing independent Corporate Real Estate services as a business owner and leader to a wide range of prestigious Companies, Government Agencies and Not for Profit Organisations.
His vast experience has seen him extensively consult to clients from the Healthcare, Retail, Office, Industrial, Government and Investment property markets with real estate interests located throughout metropolitan Perth, regional WA and the Eastern seaboard of Australia.
Charles is qualified with a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Property Valuation and Land Economy from Curtin University Western Australia. He has an Advanced Certificate of Real Estate Management (Cert REM), is a licensed Real Estate Agent with a current Triennial Certificate and is an Associate member (AAPI) of the Australian Property Institute (since 1989).
Charles is a committed property professional and he brings a broad sphere of Corporate Real Estate knowledge, experience and an impeccable track record from multiple business sectors to organisations, where his expertise and advice ensure client outcomes remain his key focus.
Mario Macri (B Comm)
Principal Consultant
Mario Macri is a Principal Consultant of Acumen Corporate Property with over 20 years’ experience successfully providing Corporate Real Estate services to private and public sector clients. Mario holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and comes from a Commercial Banking background with Westpac as a Property Risk Analyst.
After working in the Banking Industry, Mario moved into the Corporate Real Estate advisory sector where he soon established himself as one of the industry’s most talented Tenant Advocates with a particular emphasis on large, complex “Design and Construct” Office leasing pre-commitment projects.
He cites his areas of expertise as complex financial modelling and analysis, transaction management and negotiation, commercial leasing process and execution, construction management and project delivery.
Mario has completed consultant assignments that have consistently seen him successfully transact substantial outcomes and savings, across Australia, for his clients as well as ensuring project delivery, end to end, on some Australia’s largest commercial office leasing pre-commitments.
His eye for detail and understanding of property leasing concepts, property financing, construction methodology and facilities management requirements ensure that he provides honest, independent advice which allows his clients to achieve the best potential outcomes whilst managing risk.
Nick Martinis (BArch, RAIA, MAIPM)
SENIOR ARCHITECT and PROJECT MANAGER
Nick Martinis has over 25 years experience within the construction industry in a career that has extended to working on projects throughout Australia and South East Asia. During this time Nick has developed a detailed understanding of construction methodologies and practices, along with a strong knowledge of contracts, compliance and approval processes, as well as construction cost management and building procurement procedures.
Nick has worked with and managed, a wide range of design consultants and other professionals necessary in the delivery of large scale and complex building projects.
Since 2006, Nick has consulted for a wide range of clients in the media, property development, gaming, hotel, financial and resource sectors with his design and construction skills being integral in the completion of several high profile and complex projects. On these projects Nick’s role has extended to either development management, design management, project management, superintendent or project architect services.
In addition to his extensive experience in design and construction management, Nick offers a strong client focus, with leadership and people management skills along with project procurement, project planning, cost planning and project co-ordination expertise. Nick has delivered many commercial projects throughout Australia and South East Asia and as such is familiar with key Corporations, Government Agencies, contractors, subcontractors, architects, and building services consultants operating within this market place.
